The holidays are a busy time of year. Shopping for gifts, volunteering at the local toy drive, going to your child’s Christmas concert, and planning your family’s get-together are all on your list of things to do. While we wish we could help you with everything on your to-do list, we can at least make one of those items a little easier. When it comes to your family’s get-together, leave it to us to cover your dinner table in delicious food – from the appetizers all the way through to dessert.
Hors D’oeuvres
Every family has one (or two) - the family member who always shows up a half hour late. Instead of making everyone wait for them on an empty stomach, provide them with delicious appetizers to keep their hunger at bay.
The menu options for appetizers can be endless, but we like to focus on the items everyone is sure to love. A few classics you can choose to go with include meat and cheese with crackers, fresh vegetables with dip, jumbo shrimp, or a delicious cheese ball with crackers. All of these options are easy for your guests to grab and munch on while keeping the conversation going.
The Main Course
The focal point in many families’ Christmas’ is when everyone gathers around the table for Christmas dinner. While there are many options to choose from, we suggest going with Carved Pit Ham, as it is a Christmas staple. Along with the ham, you can choose from a variety of bread, potato, or vegetable options. If you would like to keep things more traditional, you can choose dinner rolls with mashed potatoes and buttered corn; or if you want to make your dinner a little more memorable, you can choose to serve hand-crafted tomato herb artisan bread, seasoned basmati, and fresh asparagus spears!
The combination options are endless, but be sure to stick with items you know your family will be sure to enjoy.
Dessert
To top off your Christmas dinner, dessert is essential. Even though everyone is usually stuffed to the brim after the main course, you can be sure they will make a little extra room for dessert. We offer a variety of options: from cookies, fudge brownies, to cheesecake. If you want to stick with tradition, we also have homemade apple cobbler.
Bringing your catered Christmas party ideas to life shouldn’t be difficult. Many who host a Christmas dinner believe the only option is to stay in the kitchen to prepare the meal instead of spending time with their family. Instead of missing out on all of the fun, hire a caterer to do the work for you. You will get to spend time with your family as well as provide them with the delicious meal they have been looking forward to.
